The Civil Aviation Authority: On May 13, 2005, the former Civil Aviation Administration was transformed into a statutory Authority within the Ministry of transport & road safety. |
Office of the Chief Inspector: Reports directly to the Ministry's Director General. |
Tasks
|
The Civil Aviation Authority: In accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority Law- 2005 the CAA is responsible for the licensing and monitoring of the civil aviation sector. In addition, the CAA advises the Minister of Transport on aviation issues, conducts economic and statistical surveys and participates in international activities including the negotiation process of air agreements and the representation of the State of Israel in ICAO and other international aviation organizations. |
Chief Investigator main office: Investigates civil aircraft accidents and serious incidents; publicizes reports; determines circumstances and causes of accidents with a view to avoiding future accidents and to raising professionalism and safety awareness among pilots and aircrew. |
